Urban Encounter

Urban Encounter is designed to give visiting groups a glimpse of life and mission in the inner city by spending 3 days and 2 nights in the inner city. Participants will receive seminar training from experienced urban missionaries, forming a Biblical foundation for urban mission and addressing a variety of key issues including systemic evil, social justice and community development. In addition, Urban Encounter participants will have the chance to work side by side with urban missionaries in the urban mission field, gaining a hands-on knowledge of the joys and challenges of mission in the inner city.
The Urban Encounter experience begins on Friday night with a tour of the city and lasts through lunch on Sunday. Participants will experience ministries ranging from Kids Church to servant evangelism to meal sharing programs. The weekend will conclude with the Saturday night worship service at The Mission Church.
